Meet 502 FIT PASS Member of the Month, Lisa Cox!

 

 

I'm Lisa Cox. My favorite place to eat? I’m a vegetarian, so I love Zen Garden.

I also enjoy the vegetarian options at Mayan Cafe. When I need
something sweet, I head to Flora Kitchenette for a doughnut.

In my free time, I like to try out new restaurants and breweries
and get outdoors with my dogs to hike at Jefferson Memorial Forest or
Red River Gorge.

My goals are to workout consistently and eat a whole food
plant-based diet. I want to become build muscle and be strong. I hope
that living a healthy lifestyle will ensure that I keep moving and
stay active as I get older.

I have to mention two classes because I love them both so much and
they are completely different. First, is Fit502’s Boxfit class with
Jennifer. This class is such a great workout, it will force you to
push past your comfort zone, and you feel like a badass when you
successfully pull off a jab-cross-switch-knee-hook combination! And
the instructor, Jennifer, is fantastic! Second is Yoga at Flex Appeal
on Goss Ave with Kansas. This is by far the best yoga class I have
taken in the city, and it is because the instructor is super
knowledgeable and skilled at teaching. The best part is you get a
short head massage at the end of class!

I joined Fit Pass because I need variety in my workouts. Before, I
would buy a package at one studio and quickly burn out from doing the
same classes over and over. Thanks to Fit Pass, I can mix up my
workouts and try new things. It keeps me motivated, and my workouts
have been more consistent.
